Periodontal Treatment

Periodontal therapy can include multiple different procedures such as scaling and root planing (deep cleaning), crown lengthening, frenectomy, and others.

For Scaling and Root Planing, if it has been a few years since you have had a dental cleaning, you may require a deep cleaning (scaling and root planing). With this type of cleaning, you can expect Dr. Richards and her team to numb the area where the cleaning will take place so that we can properly remove and plaque and calculus from underneath the gums. This allows our office to effectively clean the root surface of your tooth and hopefully shrink deep pockets.
